The AER mesh network drone was a fun in-office concept project we worked on. In particularly low-signal areas, it deploys multiple units into the field to provide a temporary outdoor mesh wireless network. Using AI to find the nearest 5G signal, the drone also positions itself for other units to connect to it and extend signals over a spread area. In case of emergency while hiking or camping, the idea was to think of the capabilities of a traditional drone, while also having users not worry about losing reception.
We also created a CMF exploration for AER to signify year long outdoor connectivity. The CMF selections allowed us to consider a wide range of target users in different genders, age groups, and preferences.
